Hello
I have been practicing psychotherapy for over 15 years. My approach to the work, and to the people I see, is collaborative. First and foremost, I try my best to listen and hear what is being said, as well as unsaid. There are things that we think we know about ourselves but there can also be a great deal that is unknown. Based on that idea, we work together to get to know parts of you that may need attention and contribute to both acute symptoms and/or to more general states of anxiety and depression.
My areas of expertise are working with adults with childhood trauma, intergenerational trauma, depression, anxiety, and difficulties with emotions. I provide compassionate care using individualized treatments drawing from developmental, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based approaches. I work relationally and bring authenticity to the connection.
I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds, including the queer community, children of immigrants, BIPOC folks, all age ranges from young adults (18+) to elders.

Training
In my early training at the Psychological Services Center (PSC) and the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD) at Boston University and the VA Boston Healthcare System in the Women’s Stress Disorders Treatment Team (WSDTT), I developed a foundational set of skills in symptom-focused treatments. These include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive processing therapy (CPT), which I have used to help people build skills sets to cope with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other emotional difficulties.
My clinical internship and postdoctoral training at the Comprehensive Outpatient Services, Inc. Newton office provided me opportunities to pursue my passion and dedication to working with folks across a spectrum of backgrounds and issues that arise in day-to-day life in a community. I developed strong clinical skills and the competence and flexibility to work with complex issues.
